Overview

QM performed Demolition and Engineering services to remove the existing concrete bridge (circa 1928) adjacent to the Metrolinx rail corridor. The bridge spanned approximately 17 metres by 24 metres wide and was about 1.2 metres thick. A full road closure between Lakeshore Road and Front Street on Yonge Street was implemented and scheduled for six consecutive weekends to complete the work. QM Environmental was tasked with mobilizing every Friday and de-mobilizing every Sunday to ensure the road was opened for vehicular and pedestrian traffic the following Monday.
